…Of The Vast Oceans

Anna-Rose Madray

Floating in a miniature ocean
Senses dumb and numb to emotion
But invisible Love is keeping me alive
My involuntary struggle to survive
Nature's wonderful example; I am a parasite
Imprisoned until I can see virgin daylight.

A familiar place; I long to be
I am always pulled toward the sea
It beckons me in both my states
Neptune's call ...my pace dictates
Such Beauty, a complex mystery
Such power, my fate, my history.

Now his water rushes to my silent shore
Its life within (me) I adore...
Now to be the host of another
Who'll love Atlantis, just like her
mother.
Swimming within my soul
This baby girl, I long to hold.

Just like those cryptic dreams
Silence replaces screams
Water covers my warm, dry earth
Restored to home, before my birth
A saddened, soddened coffin is my rest
Though my now free soul is blessed in
God's prepared nest!
