It is often said that the way a country treats their domestic animals is a reflection of the people of the country (Ghandi). In countries where the standard of living is high, animals such as dogs and cats are generally treated well and have laws in place to protect them. Enforced licensing laws in these countries prevent animals from roaming the streets and causing menace and public health risk to people and other animals.
If the stereotype of documentarians is that they leave the suffering behind and move on to their next assignment, Elspeth Duncan, and project assistant Katie Zulak, don't live up to it. We could all use a little change
I was at the traffic lights by Skinner Park and a vagrant walked up to me and asked me for money. I replied that I had no change. The vagrant then ‘steupsed', took out a dollar bill, threw it into my car and said, "Like you need this more than me."

The paper and pulp industry is one of the highest consumers of energy and water. If you reduce the amount of paper you use you will also reduce the amount of garbage that is created as well as the need to make new paper - which in turn means less pollution, less energy use and less trees cut down.
